How the foundation changes children and families' lives.

The foundation pays for a unique, weeklong therapy for sick children at the Legend’s Silhouette Stables, set in Maryland’s gorgeous green Worthington Valley.

From the moment children emerge into the fresh country air, amazing changes begin. The sounds and smell of horses seize their senses and turn their focus to the adventure ahead. Over the week, as they experience the glory of nature, they gain calm, compassion and confidence.

Meanwhile, the foundation also helps parents cope with the challenges of a child’s illness. We help them learn about alternative therapies and other complementary treatment options, to choose and communicate with caregivers more effectively, and to connect with other sick children’s families.
